Kobe Bryant Is My Favorite Avenger

I was supposed to write something here about all the emotions that I felt today regarding the Lakers’ round 2 playoffs elimination but then again, it would just be another emo post. There are already too many brokenhearted LAL fans out there so I am choosing not to be part of the horde.

As always, I admire Kobe for his “never say die” and optimistic attitude. He didn’t go down without a fight today. He led his teammates. He motivated them. Some answered his call but unfortunately some did not.

I was able to read some of the things that Kobe said during the presser:

“I’m not fading into the shadows. I’m not going anywhere. We’re not going anywhere. Come hell or high water, we’re going to be there again”

“It’s just something about the Lakers organization…”

“This isn’t like the Bulls beat the Pistons and the Pistons disappear…I don’t buy that sh*t.”

“Management has done a phenominal job, scouting has done a phenominal job & they will again.”

He answered with strong conviction.

At 33 years old, he still has no plans of  backing down any time soon.  He even told the press to “put your house on it”.

Minus the powered suit of armor, I can easily picture Kobe being Iron Man — the swagger, the killer instinct, the IQ level. I’ve seen him carry the Lakers to victory on numerous occasions. On the other hand, Kobe can fail miserably too, like Tony Stark. But failure never stops him from doing it again the next day because he believes in himself and his capacity.

That is the heart and will of a true champion. That is the reason why I admire Kobe.

Ps. If you’ve been living under a rock, Kobe did not die. The Lakers just got eliminated in the playoffs. Sorry if it sounded like Kobe retired or something. HAHA!
